For chambers in the USA and Canada
Chamber software for how Canadian chambers work.
Chambers of commerce and boards of trade in Canada run on what chambers in the USA run on: members, events, sponsorships and trust. They also bill in Canadian dollars (CAD), set sales tax on their dues and keep consent records for member email. Here is what ChamberGrid does for a chamber in each country, and what is still being designed.
In the United States and in Canada
One platform, designed for both countries.
A chamber in either country gets the same platform. What changes is how each country bills, taxes, collects dues and protects member data, so every row shows both sides and its own status.
| Capability | United States | Canada |
|---|---|---|
| Your brand, your domain | Your chamber’s site and member portal on your own web address. In build | The same, on your own address, including .ca domains. In build |
| Currency and billing | Dues and invoices in US dollars. In build | Dues and invoices in Canadian dollars (CAD). Designed |
| Tax invoices | Invoices and receipts for dues, events and sponsorships. In build | Sales-tax invoices, set up per chamber: your GST/HST and QST numbers on each invoice, and you set whether each dues line is taxable or exempt. Software support, not legal advice. Designed |
| Member payments | Card and bank payments to the chamber’s account. In build | Cards, pre-authorized debit for renewals and bank transfer requests, through a Canadian payment provider. Designed |
| Member email consent | No separate option | Consent records for member email, designed around Canada’s anti-spam law (CASL): how and when each member agreed, when implied consent lapses, and every unsubscribe with its date. Software support, not legal advice. Designed |
| Member data protection | Full data export at any time, month to month. In build | Member notices, access and correction requests, and a privacy-incident record, designed around PIPEDA and Quebec’s Law 25, with an option to keep member data in Canada. Software support, not legal advice. Designed |
| Languages | English. In build | English and French, with French-first display for Quebec chambers. Designed |
| Federated Trust sign-in and delegation | One sign-in for staff and members; owners grant and take back access. Pilot | The same sign-in and delegation. Pilot |
How chambers are organized
Two chamber systems, and how ChamberGrid fits each.
In the United States, local and state chambers are independent, and many belong to a national federation, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, founded in 1912.
In Canada, local chambers of commerce and boards of trade (the two names mean the same thing) are independent non-profits. Many belong to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, which traces its founding to 1925 and describes itself as “the national voice of business.”
ChamberGrid is designed for each of these levels: a single chamber, a regional council or a national network.
Named for context. ChamberGrid is not affiliated with or endorsed by these organizations.
Launching in Canada
The 48-hour launch works the same way.
Your site, directory and staff accounts launch on your own domain within 48 hours, beside the system you use today. Canadian-dollar billing, sales-tax invoices, pre-authorized debit and French come after that and are not ready yet; a chamber on a trial in Canada helps us shape them.
Launch on your domain in 48 hours
Branded directory, staff sign-in and first packages, in Canada as in the USA.

Applying from Canada
The same free trial, with no license fee.
Chambers in Canada apply the same way as in the USA. Accepted chambers get a trial of 12 to 24 months with no ChamberGrid license fee, and we work out the membership model and the regional accommodations each chamber needs with it.
